My Linen Healing Quilts
Some people believe that Linen is a Healing Fabric because it is made from the Flax Plant, and has a very high Frequency. I believe that too!

Robert Kaufman Yarn Dyed Essex Linen - Natural 108" (55% Linen/ 45% Cotton)
The color is closer to the larger pic.
To get the Cross Hatching to be perfect 5" squares:
I set my Horizontal Channel Locks at 5" from my 1st Horizontal Basting Line.
Then, just kept measuring 5" from the Previous Line and set my H Locks, for the rest of the Quilt.
Then, removed the Quilt, trimmed it, rotated it, and drew a new Line perpendicular to the existing Lines.
Then, pinned that new Horizontal Line to the Quilt, and repeated the 5" Channel Lock measurements.
Binding: Blanket Stitch (Stitch to Back/ Flip to Front)
Robert Kaufman Yarn Dyed Essex Linen - Olive 43" (55% Linen/ 45% Cotton)
This one was harder because I had to piece 2 Wholecloths together. For the Connecting Stripe, I used Moda Linen Blend (70% Cotton/ 30% Linen). I figured 70% Cotton would be sturdier and keep my Stripe straight. For my New Idea, see Bottom of pg.
To get the Cross Hatching to be perfect 5" squares:
I only did Horizontal Lines on the 1st half of the Quilt.
I set my Horizontal Channel Locks at 5" from my 1st Horizontal Basting Line.
I kept measuring 5" from the Previous Line and set my H Locks, for the rest of the 1st Half.
Removed the Quilt, trimmed it, and added via the Sewing Machine:
Connecting Stripe
Lower Half of the Quilt
Batting
Backing
Loaded it back on the Longarm to finished the Horizontal Lines.
Removed the Quilt, trimmed it, rotated it, and drew a new Line perpendicular to the existing Lines.
Pinned that new Horizontal Line to the Quilt, and repeated the 5" Channel Lock measurements.
Binding: Blanket Stitch (Stitch to Back/ Flip to Front)
Wild Linens Terra Cotta 100% Linen 55" - OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified
I think I purchased 108", but I think they only sell 55" now.

New Idea for Pieced Wholecloth Quilts:
Note: Do not prewash the Linen. It is stretchy to begin with, so if you prewash, it becomes really unmanageable.
